Matte Glossy (Matt Thomas) is a video content creator and VJ based out of Kansas City, Missouri. Starting primarily as a filmmaker, Matt's visual art evolved from experimental edits on found footage to later incorporating his own original video recordings. This eventually evolved into a unique live visual performance we see today. 

Matt's visuals have been featured in various venues across Kansas City, including the Uptown Theater and the Midland Theater, and he has performed with notable musical artists such as Truth, Mystic Grizzly, Supertask, Mindex, Tiedye Ky, Zen Selekta, Level Up, Murkury, Cut Rugs, Hullabaloo, 5AM, Mythm, Chef Boyarbeatz, Au5, Recycled Funk, Deep Sequence and more.

In order to further hone his craft, Matt has trained and performed with acclaimed visual artists such as Glass Crane, Actualize, and Clearvoid. He is currently associated with Loud Production Group, a Midwest production company renowned for its stage production for concerts and music festivals. 

With his signature grunge vs beauty style, and a meta-approach on acid propaganda, Matte Glossy can enhance the vibe of any room, from intimate ecstatic healing events to late night, face-melting ragers. His visual artistry is inspired by a wide range of visual artists, including festival legend Android Jones and the godfather of lo-fi aesthetic, Ryan Celsius.
