Matte's unique style combines collage-style editing with practical film effects and retro video gear, resulting in a distinctive visual language. He has showcased his art at renowned Kansas City venues like the Uptown Theater and Midland Theater, and has collaborated with artists such as The Glitch Mobb, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Zack Fox, Shlump, Dr. Fresch, Wookiefoot, Sunsquabi, The Polish Ambassador, Truth, Mystic Grizzly, Supertask, Superfuture, Bear Grillz, and more. His art has been featured in galleries across Kansas City and internationally in Lugano, Switzerland, and at festivals including Lost Lands. He has also hosted two 360 dedgree projection and laser mapping events at Gottlieb Planetarium at historic Kansas City Union Station (The first of their kind in Kansas City) named Laser Stranger Things 360 and Laser Daft Punk Remix.
A member of the Pulp Video Lab collective, Matt has performed across the Midwest and the Great Lakes region, with appearances at multiple music festivals. Trained alongside acclaimed visual artists like Glass Crane, Clearvoid, and Actualize, Matte Glossy is currently associated with Loud Production Group, elevating stage production for concerts and festivals across the Midwest.
